How to Enter Rodeos

Online Entries—Little Wranglers, Juniors & Seniors


All entries for Little Wranglers, Junior, and Senior divisions must be completed online through the National Little Britches Rodeo Association (NLBRA) website.


Note: This does not apply to Trail Hands. Trail Hand contestants should refer to the Trail Hand section of the website for entry information.

Rodeo Entry | Step-by-Step

1. Visit the NLBRA Website

Go to the NLBRA website and navigate to the Entry Portal.


2. Access Rodeo Signup & Registration

Click Membership, then select Rodeo Signup & Registration.

  • If you already have an account, click Log In and enter your credentials.
  • If you need an account, click Register and follow the prompts.


3. Select Contestant

Once logged in, type the contestant’s last name in the search box and select the correct contestant.


4. Find the Michigan Rodeo

Choose All Rodeos and scroll to locate Michigan and the correct rodeo date.

  • On mobile devices, scroll sideways or up/down to view all available dates.


5. Select the Rodeo

Click the blue bar showing the rodeo location and number.


6. Choose Events

Available events for the contestant will appear.

  • Select each event you wish to enter.
  • If required, enter partner information and ensure your partner enters you as well.
  • If you do not have a partner, try to find one independently. The rodeo secretary may assist if possible, but a match is not guaranteed.


7. Submit Entry

Click the blue Sign Up bar to complete your entry.

  • Save the confirmation email or print a copy for your records.
  • Verify that all selected events are listed. If only the contestant’s name appears, redo the entry and reselect each event.


8. Repeat if Necessary

Repeat these steps for additional rodeo days or other contestants.


9. Log Out

Log out once all entries are complete.

Contestant Entry Dates

  • Entry Deadline: Two (2) weeks before the rodeo date
  • National Contestants: Must enter through the National website
  • Late Entries:
    • $15 fee per contestant
    • Not guaranteed and accepted at the discretion of the rodeo secretary


  • Add-On Entries:
    • $5 per event after the closing date

  • Day-of-Rodeo Entries: Not accepted

  • Contestant Meeting: Saturdays immediately after mini bulls & mutton bustin’ (approximately 9:30 AM)
  • Rodeo Start Time: 10:00 AM

  • Silent Auction Table: Available, weather permitting
  • Camping: Haul-in begins Friday; arrival times will be provided per event
  • Concessions: Available at most locations
  • Notices: Rodeo-specific updates will be provided prior to each event

Important Notes

  • Payment: Entry fees are paid at the rodeo. The amount shown online may not reflect your final total, as it does not include office fees and may include partner fees.
  • Partner Entries: If your partner entered an event before you, it may not appear as an option. Please confirm with your partner to avoid entry issues.
  • Entry Deadlines: Entries close promptly at the stated deadline. Plan accordingly to avoid missing entry opportunities.
  • Withdrawals: If you need to withdraw from a rodeo, contact the rodeo secretary. The system does not allow contestants to remove themselves.
  • Entering for Others: With permission, you may enter other contestants using your own login credentials.

NLBRA of Michigan Events

The NLBRA of Michigan offers multiple age divisions to ensure fair competition and skill development for all participants. Divisions are determined by a contestant’s age on the first Monday following the National Finals Rodeo.


If a contestant is 18 at the start of the season, they remain eligible for the entire season, even if they turn 19.


Divisions for the 2024–2025 Season


(July 8, 2024 – June 2, 2025)

  • Trail Hand (State-Only Division): 7 years old & under
  • Little Wrangler: 5–8 years old
  • Junior: 9–13 years old
  • Senior: 14–18 years old


Memberships: You may join at any time during the rodeo season.

Events by Division

(7 & Under—State-Only Program)

The Trail Hand division is unique to Michigan and introduces young participants to rodeo in a supportive, educational environment focused on skill development. For more information, please visit the Trail Hand page on the website.



Dual Division Option:


Children ages 5–7 may participate in both Trail Hand and Little Wrangler divisions; however, they may not compete in the same event in both divisions (for example, barrels in both LW and TH).


Little Wrangler Division (5–8 Years Old—National Division)

* Team Events


Dally Ribbon Roping and Team Roping require a partner within the same age division. Partners may be male or female.

NLBRA of Michigan is now accepting bids for stock contractors for the 2025–2026 season. Our rodeos rely on quality stock, and we welcome interested contractors to submit their bids.


  • Contractors must adhere to all NLBRA rules
  • Bids for back-up contractors will also be considered
