How points are calculated

Below, you’ll find past season points spreadsheets for reference. These records are maintained for historical purposes only and will remain posted for access.

Updates as of 10/15/2024

Points are awarded to the top 7 placings in each event per rodeo. To qualify for Nationals, a contestant must place in the top 7 at least 6 times in a specific event. Qualification is event-specific, meaning contestants must meet the requirement separately for each event they wish to compete in at Nationals.

Points also accumulate toward NLBRA of Michigan year-end awards if the contestant is in good standing. Eligibility for year-end awards is based on points from a contestant’s 12 best rodeos per event, plus points from the year-end rodeo, which is counted at 1.5 times the standard. Each day is considered a separate rodeo unless it is a double header, which counts as two rodeos.
To be eligible for year-end awards, contestants must either compete in the year-end rodeo or pay the entry fees for it.

Note: If you compete as a non-member, your points will not count toward year-end awards or national rankings.

The current season points sheet will be updated and posted at the end of each rodeo weekend. Check back regularly for the latest standings. For historical records, past season points can be found below.
