How to Enter Rodeos

Contestant Entry Dates 

  • Entry Deadline - 2 weeks before the rodeo date.

  • National Contestants - MUST enter through the National website. 

  • Late entries - will be charged a $15 fee per contestant 

    • Late entries are not guaranteed; they are at the discretion of the rodeo secretary. 

  • Add-on entries - after closing date are $5 per event 

  • Day of Rodeo Entries - are NOT accepted.


General Schedule: (unless otherwise specified)

  • Contestant Check-In - 8:00 - 8:45 AM 

  • Contestant Meeting - Saturday's immediately after the mini bulls & mutton bustin'. (around 9:30 AM)

  • Rodeo Start Time - 10:00 AM


Additional Notes

  • Silent Auction Table - Available weather permitting 

  • Camping - Haul in beginning Friday; arrival times will be provided per event. 

  • Concessions - Available at most locations. 

  • ​Notices - Rodeo specific notices will be provided before each event.

1 - Go to the NLBRA Website and navigate to the Entry Portal.


2 - Click Membership, then select Rodeo Signup & Registration

  • If you already have an account, click Log In and enter your credentials.
  • If you need to create an account, click Register and follow the prompts.


3 -Select Contestant

  • Once logged in, type the contestant’s last name in the search box.
  • Select the contestant you wish to enter.


4 - Find the Michigan Rodeo

  • Choose All Rodeos and scroll down to find Michigan and the correct rodeo date.
  • If using a phone, scroll sideways or up/down to see all available dates.


5 -Select the Rodeo

  • Click the blue bar with the rodeo location and number.


6 -Choose Events

  • The events available for the contestant will appear.
  • Select each event you want to enter.
  • If applicable, enter partner information. Make sure your partner enters you as well.
  • If you don’t have a partner, try to find one yourself. If unsuccessful, the rodeo secretary may assist but cannot guarantee a match.


7 -Submit Entry

  • Click the blue Sign Up bar to complete the entry.
  • Obtain a confirmation email or print a copy to verify your entry.
  • Ensure all entered events are listed. If only the contestant’s name appears without events, redo the entry and select each event again.


8- Repeat if Necessary

  • Repeat the process for additional rodeo days or other contestants.


9- Log out when finished.

Standard Fees per Rodeo
Entry Fee (per event/day): $15
Stock Fees (per event/day):

  • Goats: $5
  • Calves & Steers: $10
  • Bulls & Broncs: $20


Additional Fees (per rodeo):
National Contestant Fee: $10 (covers contestant insurance)
Michigan Secretary Fee: $9 (supports rodeo operations, office supplies, etc.)
Non-Member Fees (per rodeo/day)

  • Michigan Non-Member Fee: $25 (waived for first weekend)
  • National Non-Member Fee: $25 (must be collected)


💰 All entry fees are paid at the rodeo. The total amount owed may vary based on office fees and partner fees, which are not reflected in the base amounts listed here.

OPT-OUT POLICY

If you are unable to attend after entries have closed:
Contact the Rodeo Secretary and/or Trail Hand Director directly (contact information is available on our website).
Opt-Out Fees Apply:

  • $50 per National family
  • $25 per Trail Hands family

Additional stock fees if opting out within 2 days of the rodeo (you will be responsible for the full amount charged by the stock contractor, which may be higher than listed fees).

Exceptions:
Vet-outs or med-outs require proof to avoid fees.
Multiple Opt-Outs:
2 or more opt-outs per season will result in being charged full entry fees.
$25 opt-out fee per weekend plus stock contractor fees applies.

LATE ENTRY POLICY
$15 Late Entry Fee per contestant (if approved).
Late entries are at the discretion of the Rodeo Secretary and are not guaranteed.
No entries will be accepted on the day of the rodeo.

Rodeo Entry Fees 

Online Entries for Little Wranglers, Juniors & Seniors
All entries for Little Wranglers, Junior, and Senior divisions must be completed online through the National Little Britches Rodeo Association (NLBRA) website. 

**This does not apply to Trail Hands – Trail Hand contestants can find entry information under the Trail Hand section of the website.

Important Notes


Payment: Entry fees are paid at the rodeo. The amount shown online may not be your final total, as it does not include office fees and may include partner fees.

Partner Entries: If your partner entered an event before you, it will not appear as an option for you. Confirm with your partner to avoid issues.

Entry Deadlines: Entries close promptly at the deadline. Plan accordingly.

Withdrawals: If you need to withdraw from a rodeo, contact the rodeo secretary. The system does not allow self-removal.

Entering for Others: With permission, you may enter other contestants using your log-in.
